Life with Intention: First Half of June Edition
What I’m learning, loving, and leaning into right now
Happy Sunday + Happy Father’s Day!
I’m writing to you from Boston this weekend — I came home to spend some time with my family and it’s been exactly what I needed. The last few weeks have been full (tech week, events, and all the other things I do), but I’ve been making it a point to carve out moments for myself to breathe, decompress, and fill up my own cup before pouring into everything else.
Now… let’s get into it!
Mindful Moments
I can’t believe it, but Marianna and I have officially been hosting events for over a year now (as of April) (!!). We just launched a new summer series at the Arlo Hotel and kicked it off yesterday morning with the most beautiful morning of mindfulness, connection, and presence before the day got busy.
If you’re around, our next one is happening July 25th and we’d love to have you there. I shared a little recap on IG too so you can get a feel for what it’s all about!
Good Ole Girls Club: Shop & Pitch
One of my favorite parts about living in NYC is the people — and this event was such a great reminder of that.
Earlier last year, I found a community called Good Ole Girls Club, co-founded by Alex Bushman and Zoe Stewart. It’s all about redefining networking for women in the city, and one of their signature events is Shop & Pitch.
Female-founded businesses pitch their ideas live for a $3,000 prize and the energy is amazing. This round featured:
Sqz Wellness – a super versatile weighted magic circle (the winner!)
Shop Mandy Tools – a DIY toolkit designed for women
Shop Chunky – the cutest handmade phone cases + accessories
Pastazerts – a dessert brand that started with chocolate ravioli
Reprise Activewear – clean and sustainable activewear
Arodough – stress-relieving aromatherapy dough
It was such a fun and inspiring night. Also shoutout to Glowbar for doing mini facials at the event. I even got to try their new cleanser (only $28!) and loved it!!!! It is also the first ever product they have launched, which is super cool.
Allegra Paris Pop-Up
Allegra Paris, founder of Bikini Body, popped up in NYC this week at BK Backyard Bar for a sculpt class focused on glutes and abs — and it was 🔥.
We were gifted workout sets from Kalm Activewear (obsessed with how comfy it was), had tons of treats to take home, and ended with a cold plunge. I’m still on the fence about cold plunges, but after a workout in direct sunlight, it felt amazing.
Veracity Panel: Metabolic Health
This panel was so good and hosted at such a cool space in Soho! Hosted by Veracity Selfcare, it focused on why metabolic health is essential, especially for women, and how we can better support ours day to day.
Panelists included:
Maya Feller – Dietitian + author of Eating From Our Roots
Dr. Gabrielle Francis – Veracity’s Chief Medical Officer
Allie Egan – Founder of Veracity
Moderated by Kennedi Grosso, RN + FDN
Here are a few key things that stood out:
93% (!!) of Americans are metabolically unhealthy
Intermittent fasting might actually be harming women’s hormones 80–90% of the time
We should be aiming for 35 non-starchy vegetables a week (not a typo)
If you can’t eat fish (hi, me), sea plants are a great alternative and you should add them in 3x a week!
95% of adults aren’t getting enough fiber — something I’m definitely refocusing on
Othership Night with Wallstreet Wellness
On Wednesday night, I headed to Othership for a contrast therapy session (cold plunge + sauna) led by my friend Sophia, who founded Wallstreet Wellness.
We met back when we were both in finance, and it’s been so special to watch her build something so meaningful. The event was amazing — grounding, relaxing, and such a nice mid-week reset.
If you haven’t tried Othership yet, I can’t recommend it enough. Use code FAITHBERGMAN for 11% off your first visit or class pack at the NYC location. Perfect solo, with a friend, or even as a creative night out instead of dinner!
Stakt Summer Series
Stakt is popping up at Mr. Purple on the Lower East Side this month with some incredible instructors. The workouts are fire, and you leave with great snacks from brands like Hormbles Chormbles, Skinny Dipped, Live Owyn, David Bars, and Daily Crunch.
If you’re looking for a summer movement moment, this is a fun one.
Other things I’ve been loving
Good Culture Pop-Up
Yes — the cottage cheese brand! This pop-up was SO well done. There were savory + sweet tasting stations, a dessert bar, and the cutest merch (I had to talk myself out of buying everything).
I also got to meet Jake Cohen, whose recipes were featured from his new book I Could Nosh. 10/10 experience.
Sesame (!!)
For most of my life, I’ve had a sesame allergy — along with several others. After more tests and a food challenge, I’m so excited (and shocked) to say I can finally eat sesame! I’ve already had hummus and sushi with sesame and feel totally fine.
If you have favorite sesame-forward dishes or NYC spots… send them my way! It still feels surreal.
Saint Jō
I came across Saint Jō a couple months ago thanks to social media, and I’ve been lucky to connect with the founder, Allyse Cirillo, since. The brand originally launched with clean, effective skincare — and has since expanded into supplements and activewear as well, all while staying true to their mission: no compromises when it comes to wellness.
They focus on sustainability, quality, and creating products that are free from toxins, fragrances, and synthetics — without sacrificing results. I’ve been loving the cleanser so far and was also gifted a workout set that’s so comfortable. I really believe in what they’re building and the intention behind it.
NOBULL Giveaway Win
As someone who often comes home from events with wellness products (usually made for women), it was fun to finally win something my boyfriend and I could both enjoy. NOBULL did a giveaway for National Running Day through Instagram, and I won a pair of their new Journey Sneakers — and got to choose someone to win with me! I am so excited to wear these on walks around the city and some shorter runs this summer season.
Coming Up…
Something fun is dropping for National Sushi Day this weekend in NYC! If you don’t follow me already, now’s the time 😉
@lifewithintentionn on IG + TikTok.
That’s all for now and thanks so much for being here and catching up with me!! Writing these roundups always reminds me how much can happen in just a few weeks, and how grateful I am to be surrounded by so many inspiring people, brands, and experiences.
As always, I hope something in here made you smile, sparked a new idea, or just reminded you to slow down and take care of yourself, too.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead — filled with intention, joy, and maybe a little sesame :)
& please let me know what else you want to know and how I can be of help.
