Happy Sunday!!!
I finally got some real sleep last night after one of the busiest weeks in a while — Tech Week fully took me out (in the best way), and I’m just now coming up for air. Between co-hosting, helping out, and trying to get into way too many oversubscribed events, it was a whirlwind… but also so energizing.
If you weren’t in NYC last week — or were and couldn’t make it to everything (relatable) — here’s a little recap of what went down.
🧘♀️ Monday: “Find Your Power” Workshop (aka soft start to a hectic week)
Alexa (my friend + co-host) and I kicked off Tech Week with a virtual workshop called Find Your Power. She led a grounding meditation and visualization exercise, and I followed with a few journal prompts around self-empowerment, confidence, alignment, and purpose. We wrapped with an open group conversation, and it just… felt really good. Like the kind of intentional pause I needed before the madness of the week ahead. It was a great way to start the week with other purpose-driven people in the tech space.
🧬 Tuesday: Building & Biohacking @ Fabrik hosted by Shanti House!!!
This one was packed — yoga, breathwork (which I sadly missed), two super interesting panels, and a ton of wellness brand activations. The two panels were:
Mental Health & Founder Burnout
Biohacking & the Future of Health Tech
My learnings and takeaways:
Companies that focus on employee wellness actually perform better on the S&P 500. (Looked this up after the fact — it's real.)
Hustle culture gets a bad rap, but it’s more about how you hustle. Doing it with intention can be incredibly productive.
Having fun while you’re building something isn’t a luxury — it’s essential for mental health.
Your personal relationships are literally tied to your longevity (!!!)
Standout moments:
Katie Kirsch, co-founder and CEO of Lume, shared how her resting heart rate dropped by 10 beats and her HRV tripled after doing a 3-day silent meditation retreat. I’ve been tracking both since getting an Oura ring — and now I’m very tempted to try one of those retreats myself.
Max Marchione, co-founder of Superpower, talked about how people laughed at him in 2016 for wearing an Oura ring — now wearable tech is a multibillion-dollar market. He also touched on GLP-1s being used for human enhancement, not just treatment, and said something that really stuck with me:
“We are massively underestimating the extent to which we’ll be able to — or willing to — modify human biology.”
Delphine Le Grand (who I’ve been following for a while on LinkedIn shared some beautiful insights on longevity — not just from a tech angle, but through the lens of lifestyle, culture, and intuition. She reminded us that true health is about tuning in, not tuning out the basics. Whether you're focused on wearables or walking barefoot in nature, optimal health is probably a blend of both.
I left with a full notebook of thoughts, some amazing conversations, and a bunch of new treats to bring home. Shouting out a few favorites: Smearcase, Planet Bake, Say Ghee, Daily Basis Life, Drink Alya, and Get Sourmilk. Plus, the first 100 attendees got a copy of Young Pueblo’s newest book, which I am super excited to read soon.
🧊 Saturday: Coffee & Chill @ Classic Car Club
If you’ve never been to Coffee & Chill, this is your sign. I’d been seeing these events all over my For You page for months — so when it finally launched in NYC, I was so excited to get involved. This weekend’s event was co-hosted with SweatPals at the Classic Car Club (literal dream venue) and brought out nearly 600 people. Cold plunges, new friends, health tech demos… all before noon. Unreal.
One of the coolest things I saw was the Hyperice x Nike Hyperboot, which first appeared on LeBron during the 2024 Paris Olympics. I’ve had my eye on Normatec gear for months and may finally cave during their next sale. (Also, shoutout to HSA/FSA eligibility — we love a wellness write-off.)
The vibes were high, everyone was so friendly, and I left feeling really inspired. Plus, the next one’s in two weeks 👀 so if you’re in NYC and want to meet people in the health/wellness space, this is the one to watch.
💛 Coming Up Next…
This week, I’m focusing on the basics — rest, water, walks, and maybe a silent meditation playlist on loop lol. That said...
If you want to kick off your Friday morning with good energy and good people, come to my next event at Arlo NoMad! We’ll be starting the day with movement, reflection, and real convo — and yes, people come solo all the time and leave with new friends. Would love to see you there 💫 Check it out here and share it with a friend, partner or co-worker who may want to join too.
As always, feel free to reach out — whether you have questions, want recommendations, or just want to connect.
xx,
Faith
