Happy Sunday!
It’s hard to believe it has been almost a month since my last Substack post. When I first started writing here, I set a goal of posting 1–2 times per week, in addition to staying active on LinkedIn and balancing everything else I had going on.
To be completely honest, a few weeks ago I felt incredibly burnt out—to the point where I didn’t want to do a single thing outside of my full-time job. Between working full-time, coaching part-time, creating content, posting consistently on LinkedIn, writing Substacks, hosting events in New York City, and working on another exciting project I’m not quite ready to share, things started to pile up quickly.
On top of all of that, I’ve been trying to prioritize sleep, eat nourishing meals, move my body 5–6 times a week, and continue being present as a friend, girlfriend, sister, daughter, and coworker. The list has felt long.
If you are feeling overwhelmed right now, I want you to know that it’s completely okay to pause, reflect, reprioritize, and take care of yourself. Giving myself space allowed me to reset, and I’m feeling so much more grounded and energized again. So, with that—let’s dive into some of the fun and meaningful things I’ve been up to lately!
Events
One of the most fulfilling parts of being involved in the wellness space in New York City has been meeting truly incredible people. One of those individuals is Tonia Berry, the founder of The Berry Collective. Tonia recently hosted a beautiful event at Onda Beauty, where I had the chance to connect with so many inspiring guests. The event featured hand massages and brow consultations, and the vibe was so thoughtful and restorative. I will absolutely be returning to Onda for a facial sometime soon!
This past week, Marianna and I hosted our April Mindful Moments session at Arrive Wellness in Chelsea. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been co-hosting these events for a full year now. When I first had the idea, I was nervous—wondering if people would actually come, if I could really do it, and what others might think. But now, looking back, I can confidently say that launching these gatherings was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Taking a chance on something new and putting myself out there has led to building a beautiful, supportive community. These events have become something I deeply look forward to, and they continue to fill my cup in ways I never expected.
Wellness
After a little break, I finally made it back to acupuncture, and it felt amazing to return. If you’re based in Lower Manhattan and are looking for a great provider, feel free to reach out to me. Acupuncture can support so many areas—stress, sleep, digestion, energy—and I highly recommend finding a practitioner who takes time to understand your individual needs and creates a personalized plan.
Lately, I’ve been dealing with some sleep challenges, including trouble both falling and staying asleep. I was recently introduced to sleep patches (essentially a small sticker placed on the inside of your wrist that contains natural sleep-supportive ingredients). I’ll admit I was skeptical at first, but I’ve been really impressed. On nights I use the patches, my Oura Ring consistently gives me double crowns for readiness and sleep—which rarely happens otherwise. If you’re curious about trying them out, here’s a link to get a discount, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
While I was home in the Boston area, I had the chance to try two new-to-me workouts. The first was a full-body strength class at B/SPOKE Studio in Wellesley, which I absolutely loved. The second was a Yogalates class at Studio 78 in Boston. I went to both classes with my sister, and although they were very different, I enjoyed each of them for their own reasons. It felt great to move in new ways and share the experience with a workout buddy!
Female Founders
I recently attended a workout class at Practice Room in NoHo, and they happened to be collaborating with a brand I’ve had my eye on for a while—Hot Take Dough. The company makes ready-to-bake cookie dough and was founded by two sisters. I actually met one of the co-founders at the event, and I loved hearing the story behind their brand. Their messaging centers around joy, balance, and giving yourself permission to indulge without guilt.
The cookies themselves? Incredible. I tried their chocolate chip version and loved it so much I froze half of one just to savor it again later. While the price point ($35 per bag) gave me pause at first, after meeting the team and tasting the product, I fully understood the value behind the brand and its mission and I will be buying it in the near future.
I also had the opportunity to attend a virtual talk co-hosted by Rachel Hirsch of Wellness Growth Ventures, featuring Julie Cartwright, the President of Pvolve. The conversation focused on betting on yourself, building a mission-driven career, and trusting your instincts. I left the event feeling so inspired and motivated, and I’m looking forward to attending more discussions like it in the future.
Other Highlights
I finally stopped at the cutest little shop in Nolita called The Meadow, and it quickly became one of my favorite new finds. They carry over 120 different types of salts from around the world, along with a curated selection of chocolates, bitters, and fresh flowers. If you ever need a thoughtful gift for someone (or just want to treat yourself), I highly recommend checking them out. I wanted to try one of each chocolate bar but stopped myself from buying anything so I will have to go back and actually try it.
I was also featured in a wellness and sports newsletter called The Sidelines, which came out this week! If you’d like to read it, you can find it on my Instagram, or feel free to message me and I’ll send you a copy of the article.
If you love trying new coffee shops, I visited one on Friday that I think you’ll love—Dialogue NYC, located on Allen Street. They offer a super creative menu with drinks like Carrot Cake Lattes, Matcha Cold Foam Coconut Clouds, and Strawberry Matcha Lattes made with fresh strawberries. Their Viennese-style Eispanner is also worth a try. The shop has a handwritten menu, no upcharge for dairy-free milks, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of seating. They even have a gratitude journal for guests to write in, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. It’s a perfect spot to get work done while enjoying a unique and cozy atmosphere.
Right now, I’m writing this post while curled up on the couch, enjoying a delicious dinner from This Bowl and sipping on a Doc Pop Poppi in a wine glass—just for fun, of course. It’s been a low-key but refreshing weekend, and I’m getting ready for a busy few days before heading to Nashville next weekend for a bachelorette trip!
Oh and lastly- I never thought I would jump on the Salomon sneaker trend, but I am unfortunately obsessed. If you want to twin with me, check them out!
As always, I’m here to support you however I can. If you ever want to connect, ask a question, or just say hi, feel free to DM me or send an email to lifewithintentionmethod@gmail.com.
And please remember: life keeps moving. If you need to take a break, take it. You are allowed to pause.
XX,
Faith
